The Negroni – the classic Italian way to start a meal, or simply a perfect cocktail for when you’re craving the bittersweet balance that the combination of gin, Campari (the secret behind the ruby red hue), and sweet vermouth creates. Delicate, complex, ever so slightly citrusy, and oh-so-simple to make at home, this drink is best served cold at the beginning of a dinner full of ambrosial delights, like creamy vodka sauce and herbaceous pesto.
